Mr McGrillen said the success of the show was due to the hard work, support and generosity of many and thanked Dromara Football Club, including chairman John Owens and John Wright, for the use of their grounds and expressed appreciation to Robert Fee for providing car parking facilities.

He said: “I want to thank the volunteers, Mary and her team, the exhibitors and the public for their attendance as well as Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council, Knights of Malta, stall holders, those who provided entertainment and our thanks to the PSNI and we are grateful for the use of Peter Morgan’s Cottage.”

He expressed sympathy to the family of Margaret Best, ex honorary secretary of St John’s Mother’s Group, on their recent bereavement.
