Video: Willie Frazer enters row over Christmas lights and flags in Castledawson
Victims campaigner Willie Frazer has warned that Castledawson will be covered in unionist flags on Christmas day, if Sinn Fein stop the festive lights for the village.
Magherafelt’s Sinn Féin councillors have said Christmas lights can only be granted to Castledawson if a flags policy is agreed, and the remaining flags are taken down.
On Tuesday night, Mr Frazer attended the monthly meeting of the council to express his anger at the situation, which he branded ‘ridiculous’.
However the matter was not raised during the course of the council meeting, but is expected to be discussed again in two weeks time.
