Large numbers of people lined the main street in Ballygally as the Giro d’Italia passed through the village.

Thankfully, by the time the race reached Ballygally around 3pm, the inclement weather which had dogged the race in the earlier part of the day had dispersed.

As in other parts of the borough, the riders were given an enthusiastic welcome as they passed through the village.
