When police arrived they found a man lying in the road near the central line. This person had been dealt with at a previous court and fined £150 for jaywalking.

Two other males, the defendants, were on the footpath. They were extremely intoxicated and having difficulty standing. They said that the other person had been drunk and was ‘acting like a c—t’ in the middle of the road.
