Two men facing charges of assault

A 26-year-old man was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm last Thursday at Banbridge Magistrates Court, sitting in Newry.

Paul Bingham, Bambrick Terrace, Banbridge, made a first appearance and the charge was read to him.

It is alleged that on September 23 last year he unlawfully and maliciously caused grievous bodily harm to a male with intent to do him grievous bodily harm.

A police officer said she was aware of the facts and circumstances of the case and she said she believed she could connect the accused to the charge.

Bingham was remanded on his own bail of £250 to appear again in court on April 6.

A condition of his bail is that he is not to have any contact with several named people.

Also at the same court another man was remanded to the same date, also charged with assaulting the same injured party.

Aaron Denis Comisky (25), Mount Charles, Banbridge, is facing charges of unlawfully and maliciously causing grievous bodily harm on September 24.
