Tried to steal woman's bag

At around 9:30am on Thursday, March 4, a woman was walking in the Demesne Avenue area when she was approached by a male who tried to take her handbag before running off empty-handed.

It's believed the culprit had come from the Avenue Road area. He then ran back to the area and got into a van which drove off in the direction of Flush Place.

Anyone who was in the area and who witnessed the incident or saw any suspicious activity is asked to contact detectives in Lurgan on 0845 600 8000.
