Tribute paid to John Black

Lurgan District Loyal Orange Lodge No 6 has paid tribute to Deputy District Treasurer John Black, who passed away yesterday (Tuesday).

John Saville (Johnny) Black passed away on September 1, peacefully following a short illness.

Late of 6 Rosewood Park, Lurgan he was the beloved partner of Jane and loving father of Alexandra and Robert.

His funeral service takes place in Knocknamuckley Parish Church tomorrow (Thursday) at 2pm followed by interment in the adjoining Churchyard.

He will be lovingly remembered by Jane, Alexandra and Jon, Robert, Grace, brothers Philip and Douglas, sister Alison and the entire family circle.

“Following the service and at the conclusion of the Ministers graveside oration there will be a traditional & dignified Orange farewell in ritual form. All brethren welcome, regalia will be worn at this part of the service. This is the wish, not only of the family but Bro John himself.”
