Woman dies
A WOMAN in her early 50s died on Sunday after taking ill in Lurgan’s North Street.
It’s understood the driver of a car took ill and there was an accident.
A woman was taken to hospital where she later died.
She was named locally as Peggy McKenna from Carrigart.
A spokesperson for the PSNI said: “There was a fatality but they are not treating it as a fatal road traffic collision and a crime is not suspected.”
The incident happened soon after Cemetery Sunday in St Colman’s Graveyard.
