Local UUP MLA John McCallister has asked Banbridge District Council to make improvements to the existing bus shelter at Glasker Mills.
Mr McCallister said he would like to see the hard-standing area around the shelter cleaned up and improved as a matter of urgency.
“For a start this old pre-fabricated shelter is past its sell-by date and is not big enough to accommodate the number of children who wait on buses to school every day of the week. Ideally, I would like to see a new shelter, but in the meantime I am glad Banbridge District Council have agreed to tidy it up. I will continue to push for a new shelter in the months that lie ahead.
“It is muddy and dirty, so hopefully a new surface will clean things up.”
