A8(M): carriageway reopens after earlier incident
Motorists are advised that the A8(M) motorway in Newtownabbey has reopened to traffic following an earlier incident.

The carriageway was closed in both directions between Sandyknowes Roundabout and Corr’s Corner Roundabout for several hours after an incident in the region. Diversions were in place for road users.
Providing an update this afternoon (Thursday, December 29), a Police Service of Northern Ireland spokesperson said: “The A8(M) between the Sandyknowes Roundabout and the roundabout at the Ballyclare Road has now fully re-opened.”
