Thieves target charity’s oil supply

The centre - which offers oxygen therapy to people from far and wide who suffer from a variety of conditions - relies on charitable donations to keep it going.

It is believed that thieves struck at the Magheramorne premises sometime during Friday night (October 21).

Not only did they steal several hundred litres of oil, but they also damaged the tank in the process by boring three holes in it.

They also stole diesel from a generator.

A spokesperson for the centre said: “We are doing good work here and it is very disheartening when something like this happens.”
