Tesco boost funds for local charity

More than 160 local charities and voluntary organisations are sharing over 275,000 from the Tesco Charity Trust to support elderly and disabled people

The money will help various projects which will benefit all the residents of the local community

The cheque was presented by Geoff Purcell manager of the Tesco store at Ballymoney.

Geoff explained: "This donation reinforces our commitment to support local community initatives.We are delighted to help Glebeside community association and know that they will benefit greatly from this donation."

Noel Anderson Glebeside Community Association representative said: "We would like to thank Tesco for their kind donation and it will help progress all aspects of work within the association.”
