Teenager arrested for possession of drugs

Posting on their Facebook page, Citywatch said: “CityWatch CCTV Operator Radar observed a number of young males acting suspiciously in the area of the Lisburn Civic Centre.

“One of these young males then appeared to remove a number of small items from down the front of his track bottoms.

“Police were informed and a passing TSG unit was directed to the youths who were then stopped and searched.

“The search proved to be negative but due to information provided by CCTV staff one of the youths was then invited back to the station for a more intimate search which he declined and then produced a number of items of cannabis.

“The male who is only 16 years of age was arrested for Possession of a Class B Drug and Possession with Intent to Supply.”
