Sweeney Todd play for spire fund

IN a bid to raise funds for the Seapatrick Parish Church Spire fund the church is planning to produce Sweeney Todd on November 5 and 6.

The show centres around the murderous barber of Fleet Street who would cut the throats of his unsuspecting clients and drop them into his cellar with his special tipping chair. There his lover, Margery Lovett, cut up the victims and used them as filling for her meat pies.

Organised by Fiona and Bob Crookes, the group will be working hard to keep costs down to maximise the cash raised for the funds and are looking for volunteers to help them out.

Actors, would be actors and don’t knows are needed to help during the production to dress up and play a part in transforming the hall into a Victorian music hall. People will be needed to help run the show, for example painting scenery, adapting costumes and so on.

If you are interested see Fiona or sign the ‘interested’ list in the church office.
