Stuart makes the finals

Local business man, Stuart Cullen has made it through to the finals of the 2013 Belfast Telegraph Business Awards.

Stuart a member of the Causeway Chamber of Commerce is best known as one of the four directors of NI Live Events. Stuart found out on Thursday afternoon that he had made the finals of the prestigious awards.

“I never thought I would be considered for an award of this size especially as it is open to the best business people in the country, but when I received the call on Thursday I was over the moon,” said Stuart.

“This award nomination is of course due to the support and skill of my business partners John Rob and Mervyn, who without I certainly wouldn’t be where I am.”

Causeway Chamber of Commerce is delighted that Stuart has been shortlisted for the 2013 Belfast Telegraph Business Awards and wish him every success. Stuart was also named as Best Young Person in Business at the 2011 Coleraine Borough Business Awards with the judges describing him as an energetic young man who demonstrates a passion for his field of work.

Having worked in the media industry for over 15 years and always been based on the north coast. This is a big boost not only for their companies, NI Live Vision and NI Live Events, but also small businesses within the Causeway Chamber area. Over the years Stuart has always encouraged people in Belfast to look outside of the city for companies who are able to be extremely competitive within their market. There is a wealth of talent and expertise along the North Coast, and hopefully this nomination will help further promote this.

Since the announcement Stuart’s personal and business Facebook accounts have been flooded with messages and he would like to thank everyone for the wishes of “good luck”.

The awards show is being held on April 17th which Is the night before NI Live Events set up for their first white collar boxing event in Cookstown so it will be a very busy week but one they are all looking forward to.”

Stuart has been nominated for the Belfast Telegraph Business Awards Young Person in Business and he will find out if he wins at a black tie gala event in the Culloden Hotel in April.
