Stephen was a hero
UUP MLA John McCallister has added his condolences following the tragic death of Royal Irish soldier Stephen McKee from Banbridge.
“This young man was only 27 years old with his whole life in front of him,” he said. “I would like to offer my sympathy to his wife, parents, brothers and sisters and other family and friends.
“From what I have been told about Stephen McKee, he was a remarkable man - an excellent soldier, a loving and caring husband a great son and brother. Everyone wanted to be his friend - and that has been very evident from all the very touching comments and tributes people have been making.
“Stephen McKee was a hero and I hope the people of Banbridge and district turn out in their thousands at his funeral and pay tribute to a man who gave so much to others.”
