Special Assembly at Model School for Mrs Murphy

Last Tuesday started with a special whole School Assembly at Ballymoney Model CIPS.

The Special Assembly was held in recognition of Mrs Murphy, the school’s Science Co-ordinator, being presented with a Primary Science Teaching Trust Award through the University of Bristol.

To make the special presentation Dr Mike Rance Chair and Trustee of the Primary Science Teaching Trust and Dr Jim Beggs former Head of Science at St Mary’s University College came to school to present Mrs Murphy with her certificate and prize.

The school also was presented with a cheque of £1000 to continue their good practice in Science and World Around Us that had already been well established within the school to date.

Mrs Murphy will also be attending the University’s forthcoming conference for Fellow Trustees in June and to attend an award ceremony by the Primary Science Teaching Trust.
