Something for everyone at Lisburn Royal British Legion

For many years now the Royal British Legion in Sackville Street has been a place where members of both the military and non-military community can gather for support and camaraderie.

Over the years the club has expanded and has become the heart of the military community in Lisburn for both present and past servicemen and women.

As well as providing a social and entertaining space where everyone can come together, the club also has a host of activities on every night of the week, from sports to music, dancing to fitness.

Sports teams at the Lisburn club include bowls, darts and snooker, whilst the venue also hosts regular fitness and dance classes.

Bingo is a popular attraction at the Legion, with
members hoping to strike
it lucky and hit the jackpot each Wednesday and Friday night.

Throughout the year the club also hosts charity events and concerts, with live bands being a huge attraction.

Highlights during the year include the annual Remembrance Sunday, the launch
of the Poppy Appeal, which raises thousands of pounds each year to support
servicemen and women and the celebrations on St Patrick’s day.
