Paul Aaron Mateer, Erinvale Terrace, Banbridge, was also ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy.

The court heard that around 1.20am in Erinvale Terrace the defendant was seen by police standing in the middle of the road.

He had a glass in his hand and smashed it in the road.

He was aggressive to police saying ‘f—king prove it’.

A solicitor representing Mateer said he had been out drinking but he was not a heavy drinker.

He was trying to moderate his behaviour but on this occasion he had just too much drink.

Deputy District Judge Amanda Brady said this was Mateer’s third conviction for disorderly behaviour and warned him that if he appeared again the court would have to look at more serious disposals.
