Slurry tanker and tractor stolen

A blue New Holland tractor and a red Hi Spec slurry tanker was stolen from a Hillsborough farm last week.

It comes a week after the owner of a tractor in Dromara prevented thieves from stealing his vehicle which was later found abandoned in the Kinallen area.

The latest incident in Hillsborough occurred sometime between 11pm on Tuesday night and 6.30am on Wednesday morning.

The blue New Holland tractor bearing the registration P418AUX was stolen from a farm on the Dromore Road, along with the slurry tanker.

The stolen vehicle is believed to have been seen in the Laurencetown area in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Police say that there was an attempt a few days earlier to steal a New Holland tractor from property on Begny Road, Dromara.

The owner interrupted the two thieves committing the theft at approximately 11.40pm on Thursday, March 6 and after following it the tractor was abandoned in the Kinallen area. One male, is believed to have ginger hair and wearing a hoody made off.
