Shots fired at house in Pomeroy

A number of shots have been fired at a house in Pomeroy.

It happened on Tandragee Road at about 10.30pm on Friday.

Police received a report from a couple living at the property that they’d heard shots being fired.

Investigating officers found four strike marks on a wall of the house.

The couple were not injured, but were left shaken.

A police spokesperson said: “A motive for the incident has not yet been established and all lines of enquiry are being investigated at this time.”

Detective Sergeant Brian Maxwell added: “I appeal to anyone who was in the area of Tandragee Road last night and witnessed the incident or noticed any suspicious activity or vehicles in the area to contact detectives in Cookstown on the non-emergency number 101 or alternatively Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
