Shock at sudden passing

Duwayne, who lived at Seapatrick Avenue in Banbridge, passed away during the July holidays. He had retired to bed and was found sometime later when his father entered his room.

He was the dearly loved son of David J. and the late Vera and brother of Darren.

Duwayne was just 41 years of age and was up and about prior to his passing. He attended Ballydown Primary School and Banbridge High School, before going on to work. Duwayne enjoyed fishing, shooting and weight training at Banbridge Weight Training Club.

He also had a love of terrier dogs and attended Ballydown Presbyterian Church Sunday School and Church.

He is survived by his father David, stepmother Thelma, brother Darren, sister-in-law Celena, two nieces Laura and Claire, several aunts and uncles.

The funeral took place on Monday July 21 from his father’s home at White Row, Castlewellan Road, Banbridge for a service in Ballydown Presbyterian Church at which the Rev. Adrian Moffett gave a challenging address to the very large congregation.

The hymns ‘The Lord’s my Shepherd’ and ‘What a Friend we have in Jesus’ were sung and Mrs. Diane Murphy presided at the organ. The interment took place in the adjoining Churchyard. Family flowers were placed on the grave and donations in lieu of flowers are being sent to William Bell and Co. Funeral Directors, 23 Kenlis Street, Banbridge, BT32 3LR for Chest, Heart and Stroke.
