Serious collision near Loughbrickland

There has been a serious collision on the A1 near Loughbrickland this morning (Wednesday).

One of the vehicles involved in a crash on the A1 mounted the central reservation.

One of the vehicles involved ended up mounting the central reservation while the other lost its front bumper in the crash.

Local police attended the scene and confirmed there were no serious injuries. They were, however, quick to warn drivers of the hazards involved with turning off or onto the main road.

“Can we ask anyone using the A1 to be careful when crossing over at junctions?” said the PSNI Banbridge Facebook page.

“Banbridge police attended a serious collision near Loughbrickland today. Luckily no one was seriously injured but injured none the less.

So please be careful when driving.”
