Sent for trial on arson charge

A 25-year-old man has been sent for trial to Craigavon Crown Court on an arson charge.

Paul Cassidy, whose address was given as Mark Street, Lurgan, appeared last Friday at a preliminary enquiry at Craigavon courthouse.

The charge against him alleges that on November 4 last year he without lawful excuse caused damage to a property at Mark Street, Lurgan, belonging to the Northern Ireland Housing Executive.

He was remanded in custody to appear for arraignment at Craigavon Crown Court on April 12.
