AUDIENCES have been enjoying their evenings at Seapatrick Music Club with old favourites such as Tennessee Waltz, Northern Lights, Amazing Grace, Old Rugged Cross and many more secular and sacred tunes.
The singing of foot-tapping songs like Whisky in the Jar, Lily the Pink and some Blue-Grass numbers get a good response from those in attending who also appreciate the musical backing provided by accordion, banjo, guitar, tin whistle and drums.
The sound of the uilleann pipes adds a new dimension to the music and is particularly dramatic in the group’s performance of the Dark Isle.
With Christmas approaching an appropriate programme will no doubt be introduced.
If you can play an instrument and would like to join or you simply enjoy listening then come along to the village hall on Thursday nights at 7.45pm and take a break from the television.
