So come along and enjoy a relaxing Sunday afternoon at the magnificent Victorian bandstand on Scarva Green, set amidst the tranquil setting of award winning Scarva village, renowned for its superb floral displays.

The concerts are organised by the South West Down Bands Association and supported by Banbridge District Council. Bands for Easter Sunday and April are:

A trip to Scarva is not complete without a visit to the Scarva Visitor Centre where you can learn about the unique archaeology of the area from the Danes Cast, Lisnagade and Lisnavaragh Forts; the historic site where William of Orange camped before proceeding to the Boyne Valley and the transportation role of the nearby Newry Canal at the height of the linen and coal industries.

The adjoining Tearooms, which overlook the natural beauty of the canal and gardens, serve delicious homemade cakes, tea and coffee. Scarva Park which features a fantastic play area is always a big hit with the children.
If you’re feeling energetic why not take one of the picturesque lakeside walks nearby or have a stroll or cycle along the Newry Canal Towpath enjoying the abundance of plant and wildlife, which make it a haven for bird lovers, including the resident swans.
