Sandelfest is back

Children, teenagers and parents have been eagerly anticipating Sandelfest all summer and are pleased to announce that the wait is nearly over.

Sandelfest is a week of activities and events for the whole family running from August 15-21 at the Sandel Centre on Knocklyn Road.

It has been organised by Mountsandel Christian Fellowship as a service to the community, and with up to three events every day there’s something to cater for everyone.

The main activities for children and teenagers will run from Monday, August 15th to Friday, August 19th: ‘Junior Heroes’ Kids’ Club (4-11yrs) takes place in the mornings from 10.15am-12pm, while the Xchange Youth Club (11-16 yrs) is in the afternoons from 2.30-4.30pm.

No pre-registration is necessary but registration forms for Junior Heroes and Xchange are available online or from the office at the Sandel Centre to make registering easier on the first day.

There are plenty of activities to entertain adults too; the Family Quiz Night on Wednesday, August 17 will be a fun evening for the whole family. Come and enjoy a multimedia table quiz with questions to suit all ages. Admission is free and refreshments will be provided.

Admission is also free to the Acoustic Musical Evening on Friday, August 19th, which will be a great opportunity to showcase and enjoy local talent.

The week will finish with a Summer Fete and Barbecue on Saturday, August 20th from 12-3pm and a Family Church Service on Sunday, August 21st at 10am.
