Saab and Ford S-Max torched in arson attack

Police in Antrim are appealing for witnesses following an arson attack on two cars, a Saab 93 and a Ford S-max, which were parked in a layby in the Durnish Road area of Antrim.

It is understood that the damage occurred sometime between 4.20am and 4.30am on Sunday 21 August.

Sergeant McKendry said said: “I am appealing to anyone who might have information which may assist the investigation to contact Antrim Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 307 of 21/08/16.

“Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
