This year the Club hope to offer an enhanced Health Check service in conjunction with Family Farm Health Service instead of the basic blood pressure test. Many farmers and rural dwellers may be familiar with the Service as it has been present at many local markets .Away from the hustle of market day business, farmers and their families are encouraged to make use of the free health check if not just for peace of mind.

A range of tests can be carried out in a short space of time and further investigation can be advised if necessary.

For the 2nd year the club is offering youth from local schools the opportunity to go on an outward bound weekend organised by Ardclinis outdoor Centre Cushendall. As part of the promotion of the scheme the

centre will have its challenging climbing wall at the show where young and old can have a go. Rotary place great emphases on youth development and leadership and this project fits perfectly alongside the existing youth leadership competition held each autumn.

International projects also feature in the programme of events and Ballymoney Club supports Shelterbox ,the international relief charity which sends emergency accommodation to major disaster zones. This year the club has already sent 4 emergency boxes to places like Indonesia and Syria and an actual box complete with supplies for 10 people can be seen at the show.

Members of the club will be in attendance on Friday and Saturday of the show so if you would like any information about Rotary please come and enjoy the criac and have a chat with our members or you can visit our website www.ballymoneyrotary.org .
