Rotary Club's new member praises community work

The Rotary Club of Banbridge welcomed its newest member, Mrs. Angela Knox, Principal in Downshire Nursery School.

Angela was introduced to the Club by incoming President Lynda Shields who, having known her for some time, said she was certain she would bring many new ideas and expertise.

Angela recognized the considerable amount of service to the local community the Rotary Club has given over the years.

She pointed to the very successful recent book sale which raised money for cancer research and also Alzheimers UK.

Taking part in it, she said, gave her an invaluable insight into this work and how generous and supportive the people of Banbridge were of worthwhile causes.
