Road improvement schemes welcomed

On February 13, Regional Development Minister Danny Kennedy said that around £420,000 is to be invested in road improvement schemes in the Banbridge area over the next eight weeks.

Councillor Barr said: “I have nothing but praise for the minister. This is what happens when you have a good minister who you can lobby and get results from”.

With local people concerned about the increasing number of potholes appearing in roads around the area Councillor Barr has also promised to investigate and liaise with Roads Service: “I will check out these roads and inform the DRD of the problems.”
