The Banbridge Revitalisation Project will get its big launch this coming Friday with town centre traders invited to find out more about the scheme.
The programme, which is funded by the Department for Social Development, is the latest instalment of major investment for the town centre.
It is hoped that the latest undertaking will greatly enhance the recently completed environmental improvement works in Rathfriland Street and the new road link at Gospel Lane which is due in the near future.
The programme aims to enhance the town centre through the provision of shop front grants, attractive window vinyl displays for vacant units, and eye catching shutter graphics.
A new town centre arts and events programme will be developed to attract additional visitors to the area.
Car parks and pedestrian entrances to the town will feature enhanced welcome features and free town centre wifi will also be introduced.
The launch will take place on Friday 2 August at 12.30pm in the Old Town Hall, Scarva Street.
