Returned for trial on assault charges

John Colin Houston (65), Meadowvale, Waringstown, appeared last Friday at a preliminary enquiry at Craigavon courthouse.

He is charged that on April 5, 2014 he entered as a trespasser a house at Meadowvale, Waringstown, with intent to do unlawful damage and had with him a wooden bat.

It is also alleged that on the same date he damaged am Apple I phone, heater, stereo speaker and drinking glasses, assaulted a male causing actual bodily harm and assaulted another male person.

Houston was remanded on continuing bail to appear for arraignment at Craigavon Crown Court on June 2.
