Renee worked at the Iveagh

She was the dearly loved wife of the late Bill Prime. Renee as she was affectionately known to all her friends and acquaintances had been a resident there for the past 18 months and was tenderly cared for by all the staff there.

A woman of many sterling qualities, Renee was the former Miss Renee Kirk of Edenderry, Scarva and was married to Bill Prime who was stationed in Scarva during the war.

She was the dearly loved mother of Billie and Jim. Renee was a member of four of a family including Pat, Evelyn and the late Ron.

In 1961 she came to reside in Banbridge and had two children. In 1983 her husband passed away and this left a great void in her life.

She was employed for a number of years at the Iveagh Cinema where she was highly respected by all the Staff and Patrons who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Her main interest was centred around her home and family and it is there that her passing will be mostly felt. She was a member of Bannside Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by one daughter Mrs. Billie Dillon, one son Jim, son-in-law John, daughter-in-law Carol, grandchildren Paul, Gary, Colin and Rory, great grandchildren Kyle, Tara, Freddie and Kobi, two sisters Mrs. Pat Matier and Mrs. Evelyn Arlow.

To these and all other relatives sincere sympathy has been extended. The funeral took place on Wednesday following a service of Thanksgiving and Remembrance in Bannside Presbyterian Church when her minister the Rev. Dr. Mark Gray paid a fitting tribute. The hymns ‘The Lord’s My Shepherd’ and ‘Nearer My God To Thee’ were sung.

Mr. Alistair Mitchell presided at the organ. The interment took place afterwards in the New Cemetery. Family Flowers were placed on the grave and donations in lieu of flowers are being sent to William Bell and Co. Funeral Directors, 23 Kenlis Street, Banbridge, BT32 3LR for Macmillan Nurses.

William Bell and Co. had charge of the funeral arrangements.
