Known as ‘The Badger’ to his friends and family, Raymond died peacefully in Craigavon Hospital after an illness in which he fought for a long time.

Raymond was husband to the late Edna Rodgers nee Jess with whom he had six daughters and five sons. He was also a partner to Beth Heasly later in life for over 20 years. He was also the eldest of five siblings to the late Alfie and Emily Rodgers of Gallows Street, Dromore.

Raymond started his working life as a bus conductor at the age of 15. He was also a part-time fireman and went on to be a kerber and flagger.

He was an outgoing and sociable person who enjoyed many interests including playing darts and horse racing, on which he placed many a bet and told many a good story.

Raymond was born on January 29, 1934 and died peacefully with his son Mark at his side on April 19. He will be greatly missed by family, friends, grandchildren, great grandchildren, all his loved ones in Australia and New Zealand and all who knew him. Rest in peace.
