Rathfriland Street work
MAJOR improvement work to Rathfriland Street could get underway if the council's funding application to the Department of Social Development is accepted.
It is estimated work, including improved pavements, lighting, parking bays and a lowered road surface, could cost up to 500,000. An appraisal to assess how much work is needed will cost 2,950 and if the Department agrees to provide the bulk of funding, Banbridge District Council may provide around 50,000.
