Rathfriland man in ‘threats to kill’ case

A Rathfriland man has appeared in court charged with threatening to kill another man.

David Hunter from Chapel Fields appeared before District Judge Mr Paul Copeland at last Thursday’s Magistrates Court.

The charge is that the 43-year-old made a threat to kill another man on 22 October 2014.

A PSNI Constable said he believed he could connect the defendant to the charge before the court.

Hunter was bailed until 4 December.

This was to allow the prosecution time to finalise a full file to bring before the court.
