Rathfriland man to stand trial on sex charges against women
A 54-year-old man has been sent for trial on charges involving sexual offences against two women, false imprisonment and harassment.
Ronald McCready, Mourneview Park, Rathfriland, appeared last Thursday at a preliminary enquiry at Newry courthouse. It is alleged that on August 9 last year he intentionally touched a female in a sexual way without her consent and unlawfully imprisoned her.
McCready also faces four charges of intentionally touching another female in a sexual way between September 30, 2012, and October 1, 2014. As well he is accused of harassment of this female between those same dates.
McCready was remanded on bail to appear for arraignment at Newry Crown Court on February 17.
