Race on again to win a free Christmas

BANBRIDGE Chamber have announced this year’s ‘Christmas for Free’ event which again promises to brighten up the festive season for three lucky families in the district.

Each year the initiative has proved the highlight of the festive lights switch-on and has put an extra smile on the faces of winners who have discovered everything from free turkey to televisions in their Christmas stocking.

This year the prize bundles are better than ever and include an ipad mini on top of clothes, toys, turkey and ham.

Neil Shaw, chairperson of Banbridge Chamber, said the Chamber was “delighted” to announce their ‘Christmas For Free’ giveaway again this year which would benefit three families who take part in the race to find ‘Rudi’ the reindeer who will be hiding in shop windows throughout participating businesses.

“All you have to do to be in with a chance to win is turn up on any of the three consecutive Friday nights from 30th November and find the eight Rudi the Reindeer in the shop windows,” said Mr Shaw.

It all kicks off during the Christmas lights switch-on this Friday, November 30, when the reindeer will be hiding among the sparkly window displays in premises in the town centre.

Entry forms are now in local shops and more information is available on Facebook.

“And don’t worry is you can’t make it into town that particular night,” added Mr Shaw, “as the competition will be running again on Friday, 7th November, and again on 14th November - bring the family and make a night of it.”
