Quantity of jewellery stolen from a shop in Seapatrick

A quantity of jewellery has been stolen from a commercial premises in the Seapatrick area of Banbridge, last Saturday evening.

Detectives are appealing for information following the burglary at a shop in the Lurgan Road area of Seapatrick at around tea time.

The incident took place on the evening of Saturday December 13 sometime between 5.35pm and 7pm, when the shop was broken into and the quantity of jewellery was taken.

Appealing to anyone who may have information about the incident or who may have witnessed anything suspicious in the area at that time to come forward, Detective Inspector Keith Gawley said: “These premises are on a main road and there would have been a lot of traffic at that time.

“I would ask anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area to contact Mahon Road Police Station using the non emergency police number 101.

“Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
