Caught on camera in Dromore in recent days - vandals’ handiwork in Market Square, a memorial cheque presentation, a fundraising quiz, a rural community association event and a series of summer schemes/classes for kids.

Town centre damage - ‘Vandals responsible for hundreds of pounds worth of weekend damage to Dromore’s floral displays should reap what they have sown. That was the message from one ‘disgusted’ Dromore councillor this week.’

Soccer skills - Kids enjoyed a DJ Sportz Summer Soccer Camp, with coach Danny Johnson, at Dromore Community Centre.

Charity - Claire McAuley (Events and Community Fund Raising Manager, Friends of the Cancer Centre) received a cheque to the value of £2,600 from Dorothy Minnis, Nicola, Kaitlyn and Roderick McMurray - raised at the recent Wilson “Minto” Minnis Memorial Football Tournament.

Council scheme - Banbridge District Council organised Summer Scheme activities at Angling First, Dromore.

Dance Aacademy - Children attended the Rachelle Mooney Academy of Dance Fun Summer Dance Schoo at Dromore Community Centre.

Fundraising - Michael Gordon and Chelsey Whan hosted a pub quiz at Boyles, Dromore, to help fund a trip to the Czech Republic with Youth for Christ. They will work with orphans at Hand of Hope’s Immanuel Centre.

Rural group event - Ballymacormick Rural Community Association organised “The Big Yin Revisited” show in town.
