Pupils put best foot forwardfor Action MS

ACTION MS Walks Manager Mike Braithwaite, paid a visit to St Patrick’s Academy in Lisburn on Wednesday for a special Awards Presentation to thank the pupils for their tremendous efforts on their recent Walk for MS.

Almost 260 pupils joined the Walk for MS team at Hillsborough Forest Park on June 19 and altogether raised a total of £2,400 in aid of Action MS, Northern Ireland’s Multiple Sclerosis Charity.

Mr Braithwaite said: “Thanks to the generosity, dedication and support of schools such as St Patrick’s, the Walks for MS fund the extensive range of services provided by Action MS. Action MS supports people living with multiple sclerosis, their families and carers in Northern Ireland. St Patrick’s Academy enjoyed their morning’s walk and Action MS is very grateful for their generous support.” Mrs Regina McKenna, teacher in charge of the walk said: “St Patrick’s are very proud of the fundraising generated by the pupils and would like to thank the local community for their support.”
