The Progressive Unionist Party’s Banbridge branch has expressed concern after the death of a 20-year-old man in the Cline Road area last week.
Spokesperson John Stevenson said, “The community is devastated a young man has lost his life and are concerned at the possible drugs link.”
“We have been proactively working with the PSNI for a number of months now on tackling drugs in the area and will continue to do so as we seek to prevent devastating events such as this. We would urge all of the local community to help and assist us in our aim to rid our streets of this menace and protect our young people. Sadly one life is one too many. Our thoughts go out to the family and friends.”
