£163,000 investment at St Joesph’s College

The £163,000 investment under the minor works scheme has seen the upgrade of facilities for pupils studying art and pottery.

The Minister said: “Since my appointment as Education Minister, I have made clear my intention to invest in the upgrade of the education estate.

“In the last two years I have announced a major works programme worth £350 million alongside increased spend on minor works and maintenance.

“I was pleased to have the opportunity to visit St Joseph’s College and see the impact of this investment.

“It is clear that the whole school community at St Joseph’s is committed to providing the best possible education to the young people who attend the school. This investment will help improve the educational experience of current and future pupils.”

The Minister added: “I have opened the Schools Enhancement Programme to enable more schools to avail of funding. This is despite the challenging financial environment we are operating in.
