Prehen historianlooks at local man’s fight in Italy
Prehen author Richard Doherty has written the first ever detailed study of one of the most famous episodes of the Second World War - the great final battle in Italy.
‘Victory in Italy: 15th Army Group’s Final Campaign 1945’ has been published to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the campaign, on April 9, 2015, and features the story of Patrick Joseph Doherty, of Londonderry, earning the Military Cross.
Richard Doherty is recognised as Ireland’s leading military history author and has also worked on TV and radio historical series.
