A NEW Housing Executive area manager has been appointed in an internal restructuring programme which will see him overlook the Banbridge area.
The South Area office will be based in the Lurgan District and it will be responsible not only for Craigavon but also for the former District Offices in Armagh/Banbridge and Lurgan/Portadown. These offices will remain open to the public and will have Housing Officers and Maintenance Officers based there to ensure that service delivery to local areas is maintained.
Comghal McQuillan, the new man in charge, has been with the Housing Executive for 30 years in a range of posts, most recently as Programme and Planning Manager in South Area managing planned works and strategies for over 15,000 properties.
He has extensive hands-on experience delivering all aspects of local housing services in a range of locations from District Manager in both Armagh/Banbridge and Downpatrick, Assistant District Manager in Newry, Senior Housing Officer in Craigavon to Housing Officer in Banbridge.
Speaking about his new role he said “I am committed to providing a professional Housing service to the tenants and customers of the Housing Executive in the newly formed South Area and will work tirelessly to ensure the high standards embodied by the Housing Executive over the last 40 years are maintained.”
