There was also information to raise awareness of the ways in which race-related hate crime can now be reported to the police.

Speaking on behalf of Banbridge PCSP, the vice-chairman Mr Jonathan Murphy, said, “By working with Banbridge Polish School throughout the year, the PCSP has helped to develop the confidence of this community group in the agencies involved with the PCSP and awareness of the services and support that they can provide.

“One of the remits of the PCSP local delivery plan is to reduce the harm caused by all forms of hate crime - in this case race-related hate crime - by increasing awareness of its impact and by increasing community confidence in the ability of the police and the other justice agencies to deal with it effectively.”
