The consultation has been launched by the Northern Ireland Policing Board.

The Board is keen to hear the views of the local community.

The deadline for submission of opinions is 12 noon on Friday January 20.

Last month, Assistant Chief Constable Stephen Martin revealed that the cost of policing an ongoing loyalist dispute in Carrick’s Castlemara estate amounted to £1.6 million.

He stated that a PSNI presence is required in the estate daily and added that this is draining funds and diverting resources.
