Police warning after series of incidents

The occupants of a house on the Dublin Road, Loughbrickland were woken by a banging of their front door on April 21 around 10.15pm.

Windows of the house were smashed during the attempted break-in and a burglar was seen trying to gain entry.

Meanwhile detectives in Lurgan are also appealing for information after bogus caller incidents at Banbridge and Mayobridge on the same day.

In both incidents a male claimed be was from the Water Board. During one incident incident he got into a house on the Ballyroney Road, Banbridge and ransacked the premises.

At Carnany Road, Mayobridge, at around 5.30pm the male attempted to gain entry but was prevented by the occupant and family dog.

Anyone who can help the police with their enquiries is asked to ring Lurgan PSNI on 101 or Crimestoppers.
