Police searches uncover drugs
Police have recovered suspected drugs during searches in Banbridge and Gilford during the past week.
“The District Tactical Crime Team recovered herbal cannabis and charged a man following two searches in the Gilford and Banbridge area on Monday, 29 September.
Sergeant Victor McNeill explained: “We recovered 14 grammes of herbal cannabis during the search of a house in the Dunbarton Street area of Gilford.

Hide AdDuring a second search in the Mountview Terrace area of Banbridge we recovered 13 grammes of herbal cannabis.
“A 47 year old man was arrested and later charged with possession of Class B drugs.
“He was also charged with dishonestly using electricity, and damaging an electricity meter.
“He will appear before Banbridge Magistrates’ Court on 23 October.”
As is normal procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
